COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course is designed to provide an introduction into highway criminal interdiction as it pertains to the role of a patrol officer. It will provide a basic knowledge of what an officer may observe/hear while on patrol during their regular duties, to included, but not limited to: drug identification, methods of concealment and different methods of ingestion. The training will cover verbal and non-verbal indicators of criminal activity.

- Effective Vehicle Searches/Areas of Concealment
- Identification of Illegal Narcotics & Prescription Medications
- Asset Forfeiture
- Evidence Processing
- Criminal Activity Interpretation (Human Trafficking, Theft, Currency, Weapons, etc.)

This is a classroom and scenario-based course. Upon completion of the classroom training, the students will partake in scenario based training outdoors, searching vehicles for contraband. Please dress/plan accordingly.
PREREQUISITES:There are no prerequisites for this course.
